About

Who Am I?

Hi there! I’m Kurt, the creator of Old Skool Nerd, a 50+ year-old gamer who grew up during what I consider the golden age of gaming evolution. My gaming journey started with Pong and expanded through the Atari, Odyssey, Colecovision, Intellivision, Commodore, Tandy, and Apple eras. I’ve witnessed the entire evolution of gaming from simple blips on a screen to today’s immersive experiences.

What’s This Site About?

Old Skool Nerd is my digital playground where I share my tech projects, including:

  • Android apps I’m developing
  • Windows games I’m working on
  • Various other nerdy endeavors that catch my interest

This site serves as both a portfolio for my projects and a blog where I can ramble about gaming, technology, and other nerdy topics that excite me.

My Gaming Philosophy

My approach to games is pretty straightforward: Games should be fun. Period.

I’m not trying to revolutionize the industry or create the next groundbreaking title. I simply want to make games that I’d enjoy playing myself. If others find them fun too, that’s a bonus!

Why “Old Skool Nerd”?

I’ve owned this domain for quite a while and finally decided to put it to good use. Plus, it perfectly captures who I am – an old-school gamer with a passion for all things nerdy.

Is This a Team Effort?

Nope! Old Skool Nerd is currently a solo operation.

Let’s Connect

I’m still figuring out the best way for visitors to engage with the site and my projects. For now, check back regularly for updates, and I’ll be adding comment functionality soon so we can chat about all things gaming and tech.
